Events Update:

14th April 2009

A massive well done to Nikki for successfully completing the Paris Marathon in a time of 4hrs 27min 37secs.

Nikki Says:

''Slower than I would have liked but you never can tell what is going to happen, its a long way and you experience a wave of different emotions. I have to say I set off to fast and had dreams of doing a PB. Alas the wheels started to fall off and reality set in of just finishing - I had a glimpse of the medal at the expo and definitely wanted one.
So I've had a week to recover, did my first run on Sunday of 1hr 30mins. There is still a little tiredness in the legs left over from Paris but hopefully normally training will resume this week and bring on London!''

With Christmas fast approaching, The 'Wellbeing' team at CSC have contacted ALL UK staff and proposed that, rather than exchange Christmas cards with colleagues, they donate the money to a charity instead. This is a practice that is becoming more and more popular, and we know of many teams who have been doing so for several years. Not only is it environmentally friendly, but a well-deserving charity stands to benefit.

If staff do not already have a charity of choice, the Wellbeing team have suggested donating to The Bethany May Charities Fund.

This campaign raised a generous £640.76 (including gift aid).

Bethany's Great Grandma sadly passed away this month at a grand age of 95.  It was the request of Bethany's Grandpa to not have flowers at her funeral, but to donate money to our Charities Fund.  £302.50 was donated.
