"Money that has been so generously donated so far has allowed the employment of a scientist.

This scientist has started to investigate in the laboratory whether two new anti cancer drugs are effective in neuroblastoma cells. Also the scientist will work out the way in which the cancer cells respond to the drugs.

If these tests are positive, further more detailed studies will be done by Dr Louis Chesler and his team at the Institute of Cancer Research. This will then form the foundation to allow children to receive the new anti cancer drugs. "
